The Embassy of Spain in the United Kingdom has once again reaffirmed its support for the rights of women and girls in Afghanistan.
In a post published on its X account, the embassy said that, under the current circumstances, it is more important than ever to support their rights and advocate for them.
“Now more than ever, we must fight for the rights of Afghan women and girls,” the embassy added.
It stressed that, in a world full of challenges, Afghan women and girls must not be forgotten.
“They should inspire us all to work towards building a better world,” the post said.
For the past five years, women and girls have faced sweeping restrictions on their access to education and work, as well as their participation in social and public life.
These restrictions have repeatedly been condemned by international organizations and a number of countries.
