The United Nations Multi-Partner Trust Fund for Afghanistan has recently announced that it is assisting in maintaining employment and entrepreneurship for women returning from Pakistan.
The organization shared the story of a woman named Jamila, who is a mother of eight children. She stated that after returning from Pakistan, she had no source of income; however, with the help of this organization, she was able to find a job.
The UN Multi-Partner Trust Fund for Afghanistan emphasized that Jamila is now able to support her family by working at a bakery in Kandahar that is managed by women.
The organization specified that it has contributed to supporting women’s employment at this center by establishing a solar power system.
